Tome alternative: rebuilding your decks after Tome Slides shut down
Tome stopped its presentation product, Tome Slides, on April 30, 2025: users could no longer sign in, and Tome said all user data would be deleted after that date. If you exported your decks as PDFs, DeckLume can turn each one back into an editable, on-brand presentation: attach the PDF and say what to keep.
What happened to Tome
Tome was one of the first AI presentation tools to catch on. In early 2025 it turned to sales software and announced that Tome Slides would end on April 30, 2025. Pro subscriptions were cancelled with refunds, new sign-ups were paused, and users were told to save their work with Export to PDF before the shutdown. Its founders went on to build Lightfield, an AI-based CRM.
